Samsung launched its newest flagship devices
S9 and S9 plus last month. Both the devices were long anticipated in the market but there were some leaks pre-launch regarding the features the new devices were offering therefore there was no buzz in the market on the launch.
Aesthetics
Both the devices have been beautifully crafted with the aluminium frame with glass finish back with support for fast wireless charging and Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The S9 features a single camera while the S9 plus features a dual camera setup with flash alongside. The fingerprint sensor has finally been more suitable and easy to reach spot - Below the camera which is for me a big improvement over its predecessors S8 and S8 plus. The front panel for S9 features 5.8" super Amoled capacitive display (about 83.6% Screen to Body ratio) with resolution of 1440 X 2960 pixels and 570 ppi pixel density , While S9 plus features 6.2" super Amoled capacitive display (about 84.2% Screen to Body ratio) with resolution of 1440 X 2960 pixels and 529 ppi pixel density The front panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 with features like Always on Display and 3D touch (for home button only). Both the Devices are IP68 certified - Water and dust proof over 1.5 m and 30 minutes . Like the predecessors these also feature Samsung Pay other than Android Pay with NFC and the same Hybrid Sim slot with expandable storage upto 400 Gb by Replacing the second SIM with memory card and also the same sensors like - Iris scanner, fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass, barometer, heart rate, SpO2.

Camera
For S9 there is a single 12MP((f/1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1/2.5", 1.4 µm) rear camera and for S9+ there is the dual setup of 12 MP (f/1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1/2.55", 1.4 µm) + 12MP (f/2.4, 52mm, 1/3.6", 1 µm)with phase detection autofocus OIS, Geo-tagging, simultaneous 4K video and 9MP image recording, touch to focus, face & smile detection, Auto HDR, panorama mode. The 2x optical zoom features only lies with the S9+ model.
The rear camera in both the devices can shoot video with quality upto 4K@60fps, 1080p@240fps, 720p@960fps with features like HDR, dual-video recording and slow motion capture with the amazing frame rate of a whopping 960fps.
The front shooter is (both S9 and S9+) 8MP(f/1.7, 25mm, 1/3.6", 1.22 µm) autofocus with video quality upto 1440p @30fps and features like dual video call and Auto HDR.
Connectivity
With the SD845(for US & China)/Exynos 9810 (EMEA) under the hood the flagship devices have Bluetooth 5.0 with dual connectivity and latest X20 modem for gigabit Internet connectivity(for SD 845) and LTE Cat.18 6CA with similar properties(for Exynos 9810). For USB connectivity and charging there is 3.1, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector with quick charge 4.0+ support for lightening fast charging. In addition to USB fast charging there is also present the wireless fast charging. Other than that the connectivity is same like its predecessors.
