Ryzen APU

AMD finally launched its new Zen based APU lineup with integrated Radeon Vega Graphics  (code-named Raven Ridge) the successor its previous APU lineup (Code-named Bristol Ridge). The APU consists of a Ryzen based CPU also with the Vega based GPU packed together. There have been Introduced two new APU's - Ryzen 3 2200G and Ryzen 5 2400G. Both APU's have unlocked quad core CPU but what makes them different is the number of threads, CU's (Compute units) and the clock-speeds they work on.The Ryzen 3 2200G has 4 cores with 4 threads clocked at 3.5GHz with the turbo boost of 3.7GHz. The Ryzen 5 2400G has 4 cores with 8 threads clocked at 3.6GHz with the turbo boost of 3.9GHz. But as a matter of fact both of the these are unlocked these can be tweaked beyond the above said limits provided with adequate cooling. Ryzen 3 2200G also includes 8 Vega Graphics Compute units (8 core GPU) with 512 stream processors at the clock speed of 1100MHz with the TDP of 65W and Ryzen 5 2400G with 11 Vega Graphics compute units (11 core GPU)  i.e 704 stream processors clocked at 1250MHz with the same TDP of 65W.

As the members of Ryzen Family these come pre loaded with Ryzen Supported technologies like

  • AMD SenseMI Technology
AMD SenseMI Technology customizes the device automatically based on its observation to give the best experience to the user.

  • AMD Ryzen™ Master Utility
Allows the user to overclock or customize the core clock of each core alongwith the other specs like temperature, voltage and stability.

  • Enmotus FuzeDrive™ for AMD Ryzen™
It enhances the performance of the system by combining the SSD with other storage to a Single Volume. Then by learning the usage it transfers the active data to fast storage so that it can be accessed quickly and without any interuptions from other application and programmes which are not used more frequently.

  • Radeon™ Software
Allows the user to customize the performance of GPU to ensure its best performance and to tweak its
settings like AMD tessellation, FreeSync, Chill(FPS) etc
