ASUS launched its first Ryzen powered gaming laptop in the Indian pc gaming market. The laptop comes with the price tag of ₹1,34,000. According to the sources the laptop will be exclusively available on Flipkart starting from 20th of March, 2018. But option of pre-order is also available.
The laptop features a 17.3" Wide view, Full HD IPS panel with AMD Free-Sync for better gaming visuals. Anti-ghosting backlit keyboard ROG Gaming centre which allows easy access settings for ROG applications (Like ROG Game First IV, XSplit Gamecaster, Splendid) and the Keyboard LED backlighting which features stylish Red Backlighting, specially designed with W-A-S-D Keys with a 1.6mm travel distance between the keys.
Processor and System memory
The laptop is powered by AMD's Ryzen 7 1700 with 8 cores & 16 threads with the maximum turbo speed of 3.7GHz. The Ryzen processor comes equipped with the SenseMI and Simultaneous Multi Threading Technology (SMT) giving it enough power to tackle multi-threaded with ease.The octa core processor is coupled with 16GB of DDR4 SDRAM running at 2400 MHz which is ample but can be upgraded upto 32GB for more crispiness in the system.
Graphics
For the GPU it has AMD's RX 580 4G which features 4GB of GDDR5 memory with enough graphical horsepower for gaming at 60+ fps at 1080p resolution with high settings.tasks like Not only it packs the horsepower for Gaming but it also performs exceptionally well in tasks like video rendering, 3D modelling, Video Editing Etc. all thanks to its 8 cores and 16 threads.
Storage
For storage it has got a 1tb HDD for general storage and a 256gb SATA3 M.2 SSD for running programmes and Windows at fast speeds. Both can be swapped for High performance of the system. For starters one can swap Pre-installed M.2 drive with a samsung 960 pro of high capacity or any other drive of your own choice to enhance the performance of the system.
Port selection and Connectivity
In port selections it has got 3 x USB 3.0, one USB type C ( USB 3.1, Gen 2) , RJ-45, 1 x SD Card reader, an HDMI 2.0 (supporting 4K output) and a charging port to charge the 4-cell,76 Watt-hrs Battery. There is also a mini display port in case for connecting with multiple displays.
There is Integrated 802.11 b/g/n/ac WiFi for fast internet connection and data transfer and Built-in Bluetooth 4.2 for fast bluetooth device connectivity and file transfer.
The total weight of the Laptop is 3.20 Kg which is quite light considering its performance.
