Xiaomi MI Max 2 : Specifications and Reviews

So guys finally xiaomi has launched a new phone and that is Mi Max 2.

The phone comes in two models - 1. Ram 4gb + 64 gb Internal storage(price ₹16k-17k)
                                                       2. Ram 4gb + 128 gb Internal storage(price ₹19k-21k)

Specs of the Phone

DESIGN

The phone features a full metal Unibody with iphone 7 like antenna bands and improved one-handed use as claimed by Xiaomi. On the back it features a 12MP camera along with dual tone flash and fingerprint sensor. Fortunately this has still got the 3.5mm headphone jack. For Charging and data transfer there is Usb Type C on the downside along with speaker and microphone grill. The phone feature all usual sensors (proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, etc) and IR blaster like its predecessor Mi Max and other Redmi phones. Like the other Xiaomi phones, Mi max 2 features a hybrid sim tray so either dual sim or single sim with memory card upto 128gb can be used.

DISPLAY

The phone features a 6.44" large IPS LCD display with full HD resolution like is predecessor but with 2.5D curved glass panel. The display is huge and features a Reading Mode also.

BATTERY AND CHARGING

The phone packs a massive battery of 5300 mAh. Charging comes with the support for quick charge 3.0 and Parallel charge by which the phone easily attains 68% charge in one hour. This dual module charging also has better heat dispersion which as claimed by xiaomi prevents the phone from getting hot during charging.

CAMERA AND VIDEOS

The phone has a 12 MP rear Sony IMX386 1.25 micron camera with PDAF which is same as Mi 6 with a dual tone LED flash and a 5 MP front shooter. The camera captures good quality photos and can record 1080p, 2K and 4K videos as well.

PROCESSING SYSTEM(CPU and GPU)

The phone features a Snapdragon 625 ( 14nm FinFET ) processor and Adreno 506 GPU which is same as that of Redmi note 4. Processing speed is Good and so is the Gaming performance.There is no lag in performance so far as the multi-tasking is concerned

SPEAKERS

The phone features stereo speakers with intelligent mode which changes to dual stereo in Landscape orientation.

CONNECTIVITY

Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi direct, Wireless Display connect, hotspot, GPSand Infrared port.This phone also supports NFC ( Near Field Communications) which is helpful in doing contactless payment systems using apps like Android pay, Samsung pay and is also helpful in sharing contacts and files like pictures,videos,docs, etc.

CONCLUSION :-

In the end I just want to say that my expectations were more like Snapdragon 630 or 660 soc with Nougat out of the box but still its a good phone especially for people who love large displays and like to watch movies on their smartphones.With such an enormous size it is quite hard to use the device single handily no matter how much xiaomi says about improvements in one hand mode. But as i said before if a smartphone suits your taste you should buy it, So, if this one sits your taste then you should go for it.
